The mission statement of NSBE is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
The Auburn University Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (AUNSBE) is an organization that serves to develop, promote, and advance Black engineering students in their academic disciplines. AUNSBE provides multiple opportunities to conform with its mission statement. Some of these include: creation and participation in personal development activities, financial support for conferences, academic assistance in STEM-related subjects, and exposure to a variety of engineering-based companies. AUNSBE is very active and host weekly meetings to inform members about ongoing events. The 2019-2020 Auburn chapter currently has 51 members and is currently working to adopt a NSBE Jr. chapter.
